Seminar on “Empowering the Next Generation of Semiconductor Leaders” and Inauguration of IEEE MIST Student Branch Electron Devices Society (EDS) Chapter
The Department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE), MIST, organized a seminar on “Empowering the Next Generation of Semiconductor Leaders” alongside the inauguration of the IEEE MIST Student Branch Electron Devices Society (EDS) Chapter.
The event was graced by Professor Saifur Rahman, 2023 IEEE President and CEO, whose historic leadership of IEEE stands as a source of pride for Bangladesh and South Asia.
Special appreciation goes to Mr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain, CEO of Neural Semiconductor Limited, and his team — Mr. Mohebur (Head of Technology), Mr. Shoaib (Analog Team Lead), and Mr. Adnan (Digital Verification) — for their valuable insights on semiconductor design and VLSI systems.
To engage students further, a 3-Minute Idea Contest and a Quiz Contest on Semiconductors were also held, providing a platform to showcase creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm in this transformative field.
This program underscored the importance of academia–industry collaboration in advancing Bangladesh’s role in the global semiconductor arena.
